Fear is not a reason to not do, or stop doing what you want to do; it is an ally to take hands with as a companion on the path. it motivates, inspires careful attention to detail, and keeps the mind keen.

When we move into a new year, we often pause to take stock. Where have we been? Where are we headed? How do we feel when we think about our life and the role we’re playing during our brief time on this planet?

This week’s Solo Pro Radio guest is an expert when it comes to helping people work through these vital issues—and she’s been making a good living doing it for over three decades. Meet Leslie Stager of Touch for Birth, providing pregnancy, birth, and postpartum massage and acupressure resources.

Her journey to Touch for Birth involved a lot of soul-searching–and a vibrant entrepreneurial spirit. In 1986, she spent seven days walking and fasting across the desert alone and received a strong dose of clarity: Earth, Birth, Death was the message, and she has spent her life since then cultivating the skills to guide others through important life passages and transitions. In addition to her pregnancy, birth, and postpartum work, she has spent time leading wilderness rites of passage journeys for youth and women and working as a hospice nurse. Today she is in the process of integrating all of her the Earth, Birth, and Death work: “I feel I have the skills and understanding as a baby ‘crone’ to help others through various challenges we face in our daily lives,” she writes.
