How did you start your business?
I got laid off from a marketing agency that didn’t have enough work for me. So, I decided it was time I took control of my own employment situation.
What were you doing before your current business? Web Development
Lessons learned/Advice/Take Away:
1. Starting a business is hard work. It takes more than two years to see results. So focus and total commitment are paramount.
2. Doing business alone sucks! Whether you hire people, partner with someone, or share your work, you need a team of people to do the things you’re not good at and encourage you through the tough spots.
3. Building relationships is key to survival. People do business with people they know, like and trust. That means a ton of live and online networking. As well as a bazillion one on ones. That’s a lot off coffee!
What did you learn in working with Jackie? When I started my business, I had no idea what I needed in order to succeed. Going through the Better, Smarter, Richer course (https://www.bettersmarterricher.com/?v=7516fd43adaa), and getting coaching from Jackie has helped me see things I never would have thought of. She is very encouraging, but she is also very straightforward.
